More than 214 million people are on the move in the world, creating a migrant force that is reshaping urban centres, the Brisbane Global Cafe heard today.

Canadian-based migration expert Ratna Omidvar said Toronto had thrived on diversity, priding itself on being one of the most multicultural cities in the world.
