Canada’s Private Sponsorship of Refugees program is unique in the world but, in light of the Syrian refugee crisis, other countries are interested in adopting similar strategies. Senator Ratna Omidvar joined Janet Dench (Executive Director, Canadian Council for Refugees), Ellen Woolaver (Refugee Sponsorship Administrator, Christie Refugee Welcome Centre), and host Steve Paikin on the September 16, 2016 episode of The Agenda to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the Canadian program.
