Journalist and filmmaker Tara Sutton documents the devastating effects of the current crisis on Syrian and Iraqi children in Jordan, as well as the work that the Collateral Repair Project is doing to assist urban refugees on the ground.

 

 

About Tara Sutton
Tara Sutton is a Canadian journalist and filmmaker whose work in conflict zones has received many awards. Tara is one of only a handful of international television correspondents to produce and shoot their own reports also known as video journalism. Tara has reported from Iraq, Afghanistan, Darfur, Cambodia, Pakistan, Cuba, Liberia, Colombia, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia. As a freelance journalist, Tara’s work appears on BBC, CBC, PBS, Discovery and Al Jazeera. Tara’s work was awarded the Amnesty Media Awards for television news in 2005. She also has twice been a finalist for the Rory Peck Awards, which honor bravery by cameramen in war zones.
